ZenBuddy is a biometric monitoring application designed to help caregivers of children with autism predict and prevent meltdowns by tracking physiological signals such as heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and tremors via Apple Watch.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit our website at zenbuddy.dev and interact with our waitlist signup form. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy and handling your data with care.
2. Information We Collect
At this stage, ZenBuddy is in a pre-launch waitlist phase. We collect the following information through our waitlist signup form:
- Full Name — to personalize our communication with you
- Email Address — to contact you about early access and product updates
- Role — your relationship to the child (Parent, Therapist, Special Education Teacher, or Other)
- Your child's needs (optional) — any details you choose to share about sensory sensitivities, triggers, or other relevant information
We do not currently collect biometric data, health information, or any data from wearable devices. If and when ZenBuddy launches its app, a separate and more comprehensive privacy policy will be provided to cover biometric and health-related data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Add you to our waitlist and communicate product updates
- Understand the needs of our potential users to improve our product
- Send you early access invitations when ZenBuddy launches
We will never sell your personal information to third parties. We will not send unsolicited marketing emails beyond ZenBuddy-related updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our website:

Your waitlist form submissions are processed and stored by Formspree using industry-standard encryption. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
ZenBuddy's waitlist is intended for adults — parents, caregivers, therapists, and educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. The optional field regarding your child's needs is information you choose to provide as a caregiver.
When ZenBuddy launches its app and begins collecting biometric data from children, we will comply with all applicable laws including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and will obtain appropriate parental consent.
7. Cookies
Our website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes. Third-party services such as Google Fonts may set their own cookies when loading font resources. We do not use any advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
